Art and Antiques of London was much to celebrate when its doors closed, Wednesday, June 15, after eight days very busy. The Fair has been a magnet for collectors and connoisseurs with many established buyers visiting the fair. Visitors commented on the feeling of airy lightness of the Fair and very responsive to all disciplines and exhibits. Strong sales were reported across the board, the lecture series has been universally welcomed and the restaurant, managed by the Admirable Crichton, was a remarkable success. The final figure of visitors was over 15,500, up just under 10% last year. The profile of visitors was very international with Middle East and Asian buyers are making their mark. A number of retailers has made significant sales to collectors in Australia.
