– The 2011 Fort Wayne Country Club High School golf invitational is taking on a more-the-merrier approach. After a shortened field last year, the sixth annual event is bringing in more players to try their hand at one of the better courses in northeast Indiana for the All-Star golf outing.

More than 45 of the area’s best golfers will be on the course today, according to Fort Wayne Country Club assistant professional Kyle Cramer.

“Last year’s field was cut because of slow play,” Cramer said. “But they might play a little slower anyway, especially at an event like this because they take their time. We figured it is going to be 5 1/2 hours anyway, so you might as well not cut anyone out.
